We often have issues getting apprentice levels set up by the Prime Contractor. Not all projects are set up with default Electrical and Apprentice levels is the a Prime contractor issue? Also the verbiage for OA certification document type changes from project to project.

So for the State program, OSA - myself- is responsible for adding the apprentice classifications into the wage determination. The contractors are responsible for requesting these and that is done through the agency. There is nothing standard set up

often the payroll person does not know who the employees - including what level of apprentices - until after the payroll is posted, which causes a delay in getting the apprentice approved and classification set up. This is usually the problem with submitting timely. Can all apprentice classifications be set up at the start, and not on a case-by-case basis?

OK, so can I ask for a classification that I expect to be on the project, to be added? Even before the actual labor is performed?
OSA-Kathleen Miller

Do you have any advice on getting yearly approval from the city and county of Denver more timely? It takes them 3-4 months to review and approve our fringe every year.

When we did have work at the Convention Center, the Denver Auditor's office was absolutely wonderful in helping me (WEEKLY) to get our invoices approved. They answered all my questions WEEKLY. I always didn't get the same auditor but whoever helped me was helpful!!!
